I'm tossing around the idea of making a video tutorial. I'm looking for software for the mac to record what I do on screen and I would also like some suggestions of some easy software to edit the video with. Anything else I need?

Certification only makes sense to me if you are going to teach Adobe Illustrator. I can't imagine any of my previous or past employers giving me more money because of it, no one ever asked about it. If they can see I do good work in my portfolio, that's all they care about. It seems kind of limiting...
