Re: New Work

Don-- the engine was done in 3d. It did take quite a long time. I did it on my weekends, so I had the luxury of working without time constraints.

JuanCal-- the double wasp has 18 cylinders, so there was plenty of opportunity for memory efficiency with the radial symmetry.

Re: New Work

Hi Jim, I don't have a webpage. I've posted to forums, but only infrequently. Mike, I use solidworks '99. Though more often I'm using the open-source Freecad (and blender for rendering). http://www.freecadweb.org/ Here's another one. Not fiction this time, the LEM: http://api.ning.com/files/Z-oUjmZJ...

Re: New Work

Hi Jim Hatch, yes I am guilty of making it. I modeled it in an old cad program. It's a depiction of an early Apollo 'direct ascent' spacecraft; I thought it would make an interesting 'exploded view' picture. The assembly is speculation, but I tried to base it on the ideas of the time. The smaller pi...

Re: New Work

Hey everyone. Here's an 'exploded view' of an 'early apollo' moon machine: http://api.ning.com/files/MXekbi0HELgcTVa7KSGRZRsOQT6ROt8rK9KY4iu60AWirIxlLMsxNKF5a1Fr8zuDokGEH25Ff5hCmgQRKvgVHbpPfqHrxK32/moonMachine.jpg (Sorry for the long link) I'm glad I found this site. I've always enjoyed the work of ...
